TORONTO, January 21, 2026 – Toyota was recognized with multiple honors at the J.D. Power 2026 Canada ALG Residual Value Awards, highlighting the brand’s strong long-term value and reliability.

Toyota earned the #1 Mainstream Brand Award for the seventh consecutive year, reinforcing its reputation for vehicles that retain their value and deliver lasting quality for Canadian drivers.

The J.D. Power 2026 Canada ALG Residual Value Awards recognize vehicles from the 2026 model year that are forecasted to retain the highest percentage of their manufacturer suggested retail price (MSRP) over the next four years in their respective segments.

“We’re proud of these awards as they show consumers continue to receive outstanding long-term value when purchasing a new Toyota vehicle,” said Robert Tsang, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Toyota Canada. “With a wide range of cars, trucks, SUVs, and minivans, Toyota offers options to meet the needs, lifestyles, and budgets of drivers across Canada.”

In addition to receiving the #1 Mainstream Brand Award for the seventh consecutive year, Toyota also earned seven segment awards, including:

  • Toyota Corolla Cross (Small SUV)

  • Toyota Highlander (Midsize SUV)

  • Toyota Tacoma (Midsize Truck)

  • Toyota Tundra (Large Light Duty Truck)

  • Toyota Camry (Midsize Car)

  • Toyota Corolla (Compact Car)

  • Toyota Sienna (Minivan)

According to J.D. Power, “a segment-leading residual value can benefit consumers with advantageous lease programs and serve as an indicator of strong brand value for the manufacturer, signaling quality, desirability, and long-term demand.”
